I'm starting my own new business today. I'll be honest, I'm excited and a little nervous.

For over 20 years I've been leading teams, designing, building and growing apps. In the last two years the advancement of AI in digital production has been mind-blowing to be part of.

I'm the kind of person who embraces change. For the last year or so, working on the Ember Couples app has been the most exciting challenge of my career to date: creating an AI relationship coach as part of our mission to help husbands and wives stay connected. It can literally talk to you and your partner in a real-time voice couples session.

Now it feels like the right moment to take everything I've learned and build something of my own.

Experience is the edge

Having a long career in tech before AI counts for a lot. It's the experience that lets you spot when the robots produce nonsense and steer them to something far better. For those who aren't technical: most developers barely write code by hand anymore, the robots do it for us. The forward-thinking ones are becoming product engineers, more like conductors.

I've been fortunate to have had maximum AI exposure and, as a result, have become a bit of an AI expert. I bore my wife, family and friends to death with it. Well, that's not entirely true. My son Finn has become a big Claude fan, a little bit of a mini me.

It's that AI expertise I'll be offering as a hands-on, bespoke, tailored service, primarily to non-technical businesses and business owners.

I'm not offering to sell you an expensive app, product or solution. I'm offering my experience and expertise to empower you and your team to win with AI.

A starter for ten

Here are a couple of examples of advanced uses of AI in business I can help with:

  1. Create AI agents with your own Claude accounts that automate new business outreach, your daily tasks (email, Slack, contracts and the rest), and your daily business analytics, automatically generating beautiful web-based metrics dashboards.

  2. Create a bespoke website for your marketing and lead gen that could auto-update and code itself based on your plain English feature and change requests.

  3. Replace expensive software subscriptions. Think how much you spend each month on tools like Typeform, Intercom, even HubSpot. A lot of that can be rebuilt bespoke to your business, at a fraction of the cost.

And so much more.

My ask? I'd love you to book a slot in my (currently) very open calendar for a short chat about AI use in your business. Please do share this with anyone else you think might be interested. Thanks.
